Camille & Ray :: Orange County Maternity Photos

Camille and I have known each other for many years now.  We got married within a few months of each other, so we've been wedding dress shopping together and are now going to be mommies together!

Before Camille's shoot, we drove around her neighborhood looking for a beautiful park.  The one I had in mind was full of people for a fair. I don't know why we thought we needed to: Camille and Ray have a beautiful house and gorgeous backyard that was perfect for shooting!  

I love silhouette photos because when a mama looks back at being pregnant, she never remembers how round she was!  It's a great way to see that bump!

Their chocolate lab, Dante, has been the baby of the family for so long!  Of course he had to get in the photos, too!  Such a loving doggy - baby's going to have a best friend right away!

Dante already knows where his friend is!  

Such a beautiful family - we can't wait to meet baby Enzo!

I can't believe I've waited so long to blog these photos I took back in November.  Sophia is a supermodel and she's not even five yet!

Ryan and Hillary's Vintage Wedding

Last weekend, our friends Ryan and Hillary got married at the beautiful Jones Victorian Estate in Orange, California.  It was a beautiful day, made even more so with all of the thoughtful touches added by Hillary and her coordinator.  There was dancing to be had, laughter in abundance....I guess I could go on, or you could just watch it!

Finn and Family :: Orange County Baby and Family Photography

Last weekend, we got to meet week-old Finn and his family.  Every newborn is different - some like all the attention and others just want to be left alone.  Finn seemed to know the camera was trained on him and he did superb!

Of course, there were a few unsettling moments, but he's still so stinkin' cute!  (I'm sure mom doesn't think that at 3 am, but...)

 Despite these moments, he was as angel. Don't believe me?  Check this one out!

 

 The whole family was there for photos - and everyone wanted to hold him.  He was very happy with all the attention - a sign of things to come I'm sure!  He's a lucky little man!

Anderson Family::Orange County Family Photography

Kelly and I worked together this past summer and when she heard I was doing photos, she told me she needed family photos for her Christmas cards.  So, it took us a few months to find a time that would work, and me a few more months to get my act together to post them, but they're ready!  Three adorable girls on the beach?  Couldn't be any better (especially on these cold days...these were taken on a day when it was easily 100 degrees next to the water...I'm longing for those days!)  First, my favorite one.

The sand was just too much fun.  And the girls forgot they were wearing dresses.  Or maybe it never mattered?

We had to finish our time with a splash in the waves.... it was just too perfect of a sunset to waste it!

Ryan & Hillary :: Engagement Photography

I've known Ryan since I moved back to California.  When we met Hillary, we knew they were meant to be!  And when they got engaged and asked me to take their engagement photos, I was so excited. Hillary has an amazing sense of style and knew exactly what she wanted.  Ryan added his own flair...and you'll see what we ended up with!  We are so excited to be doing their wedding video in April.  Congrats you two!

 

Hillary really likes the vintage look.  Ryan really likes climbing.  So we tried to find a way to incorporate his climbing gear into her "vintage" photos.  Ryan enjoyed this part a lot more!

Especially the tree climbing...
